Highlights

  • Mingle with fellow intrepid female explorers and celebrate the achievements of pioneering female conservations on this singular women-themed Antarctic expedition.
  • Enjoy a range of excursion options for all levels and interests, from leisurely walks to strenuous hikes, Zodiac cruises and additional water-based activities, such as kayaking.
  • Soar over the Drake Passage, with return charter flights between Chile and Antarctica, avoiding lengthy sea crossings and maximizing your time exploring the Antarctic Peninsula.

Embark on a new, special edition, late summer Antarctica expedition, designed and led by women, exclusively for women. This remarkable Fly/Fly women’s only voyage skips the Drake Passage with return flights from Punta Arenas in Chile, and spends six days exploring the polar paradise of the Antarctic Peninsula.

Late summer is a great time to visit Antarctica, with active wildlife, melting ice, and generally good weather. Skuas, terns, and a suite of petrels wheel against a backdrop of spectacular sunsets, as the days shorten, and winter gradually approaches, while penguin chicks develop their adult plumage and learn to swim amid patrolling leopard seals and orcas, and increasing numbers of whales prepare for migration.

Zodiac cruises bring you face-to-face with seals, breaching whales, and drifting icebergs, while shore landings offer a chance to walk among penguins or hike to viewpoints that will leave you spellbound. The journey is as enriching onboard as it is off. Enjoy a serene soak in deckside jacuzzis or sip a warm drink in the observation lounge as you marvel at the ever-changing polar scenery. Gain new perspectives through onboard lectures celebrating trailblazing female scientists and their contributions to marine conservation.

This expedition isn’t just about exploration—it’s about transformation. From the exhilaration of spotting your first iceberg to the profound stillness of Antarctica’s untouched beauty, this voyage will awaken a deep connection to our planet.

Itinerary Day to Day

Day 1

Arrive in Punta Arenas

Arrive in Punta Arenas, where you will be met by a representative and transferred to our hotel. We ask that you arrive no later than 2.00 pm so that you may attend our important briefing this evening.

Please visit the hospitality desk in the lobby between 2.00 pm – 6.00 pm to collect your luggage cabin tags. Our team will confirm details regarding your embarkation day, answer any questions and provide you with information about where to dine or purchase last minute items.

Overlooking the Straits of Magellan, the city sits astride one of the world’s most historic trade routes. Today, Punta Arenas reflects a great blend of cultural backgrounds, from English sheep ranchers to Portuguese sailors. It remains an utterly fascinating testament to Chile’s rich history. Modern day Punta Arenas is home to many popular restaurants, and bars, offering a mix of local and international fare (meals at your own expense today).

At 7.00 pm this evening, meet your fellow expeditioners at a voyage briefing where we will reconfirm your transfer times for tomorrow, explain the procedures for your flight to King George Island and outline important IAATO regulations for visitors to Antarctica.
