Welcome to Antarctica Active, an adventurous, all-inclusive expedition offering the chance to witness the sublime beauty of the pristine Antarctic Peninsula in the early part of the season and enjoy a suite of thrilling complimentary activities including kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, and snorkeling, allowing you to experience the wonders of Antarctica on a much deeper level.

After crossing the infamous Drake Passage, you’ll cruise the White Continent’s narrow straits and scenic bays, observing majestic icebergs and glaciers and be immersed in the bustling wildlife of the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland Islands, with nearly 24 hours of daylight to maximize your exploration. You’ll enjoy magical, close encounters with the curious species of this polar realm, encounters enriched by the passion and knowledge imparted from renowned experts in their fields who’ll guide and enlighten you on the region’s ecology, geology, and rich exploration history.

Your experienced expedition team will tailor daily activities based on weather and wildlife opportunities, offering twice-daily landings or Zodiac cruises. Ashore, you’ll visit penguin rookeries, historic huts, take scenic hikes, and, of course, have the chance to participate in thrilling, complimentary adventure pursuits. Imagine paddling among icebergs, hiking in snowshoes to breathtaking vistas, taking a polar plunge and snorkeling in the Southern Ocean’s icy waters, or even spending an incredible night camping on the ice! Itinerary Day to Day

Day 1

Arrive in Ushuaia

Arrive in Ushuaia, where you will be met by a representative and transferred with your fellow expeditioners to your assigned pre-voyage hotel. If you are already in Ushuaia, we ask you to make your way to your hotel. Check-in is from 3.00 pm. This afternoon, visit the hospitality desk in the hotel lobby, between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm, to collect your luggage tags, and confirm if you wish to join our Beagle Channel and Isla de Los Lobos Cruise (sea lion island) tomorrow. The team will confirm details regarding your embarkation day, answer any questions and provide you with information on where to dine or purchase last minute items.

Expeditioners arriving after 7.00 pm will find a welcome pack waiting for them at check-in. We ask you to visit the hospitality desk tomorrow between 8.00 am – 10.00 am.

The remainder of your time is at your leisure. All meals today are at your own expense.
