Highlights

  • Stand among hundreds of thousands of king penguins on the rugged shores of South Georgia, where Shackleton’s legend lives on.
  • Marvel at the surreal ice-choked bays and towering glaciers of the Antarctic Peninsula, watching for whales, seals, and porpoising penguins.
  • Explore the wind-swept Falklands~Malvinas, home to vast albatross colonies, five species of penguin, and a rare blend of wildlife and British heritage.

This extraordinary 23-day voyage is your passport to the wildest reaches of the Southern Ocean—an immersive journey into the raw beauty, staggering biodiversity, and compelling history of the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, and the Falklands~Malvinas.

Setting sail from Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city, your adventure begins with a thrilling Drake Passage crossing. Here, seabirds wheel in your wake and anticipation builds as you near the White Continent. When Antarctica finally rises from the horizon, nothing can prepare you for the sheer scale of its ice-carved landscapes. You’ll Zodiac through labyrinths of sculpted icebergs, land on rocky shores teeming with gentoo and chinstrap penguins, and cruise glassy bays alongside humpback whales.

Further north, South Georgia awaits—a rugged, majestic island where glaciers cascade into the sea and king penguins gather in numbers that defy belief. Here you’ll walk in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton, visiting his grave and learning about one of history’s most inspiring survival stories. Among fur seals, elephant seals, and swaying kelp forests, the island’s dramatic beauty and poignant past collide.

The final leg of your journey takes you to the Falklands~Malvinas—a windswept archipelago brimming with birdlife and maritime charm. From remote albatross colonies to quaint villages with British-style pubs, these islands offer a fascinating contrast to the icy wilderness you’ve come from. Conditions permitting, a landing in Stanley brings a touch of color and culture to the journey’s end.

With daily Zodiac excursions, expert-led lectures, and the freedom to explore based on weather and wildlife conditions, no two days are ever the same. You’ll learn from a passionate expedition team, unwind in shipboard luxury, and connect with fellow travelers who share your spirit of adventure.
