Safety and Environmental-Friendly Features
MV Ocean Albatros is the ideal vessel for small-ship cruising thanks to her solid build and X-Bow design, which gives superior stability in adverse weather and allows for the smoothest motions on large waves while maintaining high speeds. The vessel is part of a new breed of low-energy vessels, powered by four diesel engines and two electric motors that are all electronically regulated to maximize speed and fuel efficiency. Implementing the Green Initiative Program, Ocean Albatros is one of the world’s most environmentally friendly expedition ships, with a carbon footprint that is more than fifty percent lower than that of a regular expedition ship.
Excursions
The itineraries include landings and excursions aboard the ship’s fleet of 18 inflatable, motorized rubber Zodiac boats. Their versatility enables you to make landfall on remote shores, cruise along awe-inspiring coastlines and share breathtakingly close encounters with whales, seals, penguins, seabirds and more. You will come within an arm’s reach of icebergs and set foot on land discovered by pioneering explorers just over a century ago.
